Fun Events: Fair Winds Fridays and Full Moon Sails and Mystery Guest Raft-Ups

Fair Winds Fridays: Join us out on the water at 6 p.m. on Friday nights, starting on June 9 south of the Kingston Lighthouse. It’s a casual sail among friends to end the work week. Full Moon Sail and Mystery Guest Raft Ups. The evening starts at 6 p.m. with a nice river sail, followed by anchoring off south of the Kingston lighthouse at 8 p.m. to watch the moon rise, have some food and allow boats to raft up and meet our ‘Mystery Guest” of the evening. Past guests have included John Hall of Orleans and Congress, filmmaker Jon Bowermaster of the “Hudson River in Crisis” film series, classical guitarist David Temple and others. Spring Series Racing Begins

Beginning with a practice race on Sunday, May 7, we will meet at the Riverport Sailing School of the Hudson River Maritime Museum at 10:00 a.m. on Race mornings for Skippers Meetings. Interested people may want to come to Skippers Meetings for more information. On race dates, first signals will be at can 71, south of the Kingston Lighthouse, at noon. Our first official race will be Saturday, May 13. Then we will race on Sundays May 21 and 28 and June 11, 18, and 25 and July 2. Wednesday Women on the Water

Wednesday Women On the Water (WOW) starts May 24, 2017. These Wednesday sails are an opportunity for women who are new to sailing to learn the basics and for those who want to build on their existing skills to learn in a friendly, women-run group. Our inaugural WOW series will run from May 24 through June 28, 2017.
