Fun Events: Fair Winds Fridays and Full Moon Sails and Mystery Guest Raft-Ups

Fair Winds Fridays: Join us out on the water at 6 p.m. on Friday nights, starting on June 9 south of the Kingston Lighthouse. It’s a casual sail among friends to end the work week. Races are at the will of the wind and the participants. Bring a picnic dinner and enjoy a Hudson River sunset. Email Deb Medenbach for more information, dmedenbach@gmail.com.

Full Moon Sail and Mystery Guest Raft Ups. The evening starts at 6 p.m. with a nice river sail, followed by anchoring off south of the Kingston lighthouse at 8 p.m. to watch the moon rise, have some food and allow boats to raft up and meet our ‘Mystery Guest” of the evening. Past guests have included John Hall of Orleans and Congress, filmmaker Jon Bowermaster of the “Hudson River in Crisis” film series, classical guitarist David Temple and others. Bring musical instruments and songs to share. We are back to port by about 10:30 p.m. This season’s dates are June 10, July 8, Aug. 5 and Sept. 9.
